Dressage event journals should explicitly explain what is required for their event. Here is an example of how you could describe your event:
Horses should be able to perform high level competitive dressage and include elements such as extended and collected gaits, half-pass, piaffe and pirouette.
The show need to be effort based. Random judging as an addition is optional, but it can not count for more than 40% of the total score.
For your show to qualify as an Elite show it needs to fulfill these criteria:
- It needs to be a sanctioned show
- Full show (mini shows will not me accepted)
- At least 15 participants for first-time shows. For pure dressage shows, this means 15 participants for the entire show (no matter how many sub-classes). For mixed show, this means 15 participants for the dressage class.
- At least 30 participants for annual shows that are being held for the second (or more) times. Same rules as above.
