Achievements
Each achievement is worth DOUBLE the points of a regular training image. The images have to be created specifically for the achievement. Once all the achievements under one sub-heading have been complete, then your horse will receive a certificate and trophy as a reward for sticking with the programme! (which will be coming soon!) You must complete the levels in order, so Bronze must be completed before Silver, etc.
Achievements will be changed every 6 months, but don’t worry; once you’ve got your certificate you don’t have to re-do them!
Bronze
Square Halt. Some say this is the hardest move of the whole performance, so we want you to draw your horse and rider practising, whether that is on the long rein or in the saddle!
Head Carriage. At the lower levels of dressage it is still nice to see some head carriage so we want you to draw a picture of your rider teaching your horse the correct head carriage!
Transitions. Transitions are one of those things in lower level dressage that are hit or miss, and people are often mislead into thinking that they are not important, but solid transition work is a very good foundation for higher level work. We would like to see your horse and rider practicing transitions!
Rhythm. Rhythm is a very important part of a dressage routine, especially when you start putting it to music, so we want to see your horse and rider trying to keep a steady rhythm in any gait.
Silver
Straightness. Often classed as the skill that takes the longest time to learn is straightness, so we want to see your horse and rider practice going down the centre line!
Flying Changes. We want to see you introducing your horse to flying changes, whether done using a pole or just by trial and error!
Circles and serpentines. With the judges getting even more picky, the patterns have to be exactly right. We want to see your horse and rider practicing either serpentines or circles!
Collections and extensions. We would like to see your horse and rider performing a collection or extension of any gait.
Gold
Passage and piaffe. Now getting into the more complicated movements, we want to see your horse learning or performing either passage or piaffe.
Free walk. Often perceived as a very easy move, but with the atmosphere of a big competition it can often become the hardest with horses either turning into giraffes or deciding this would be a great moment for an extended canter. We would like to see your horse and rider practicing the free walk.
Pirouettes. This is a move that comes in many forms so we would like to see your horse and rider performing either a walk, piaffe or canter pirouette!
Award-winning trot. Time to show off that trot! We would like to see your horse and rider performing either a working, collected or extended trot!
New Beginnings
Since becoming founder I have been doing a lot of thinking about this group. Every day I see the group's activity dwindle, despite previous efforts to rejuvenate it and more people are leaving the group than are joining. When I joined this group as a member in early 2012, it was a hub of activity and 'the' group to be in if you had dressage horses but it has slowly ground to a halt and needs a good push in the right direction to keep going.
My plan for this group is to give it a complete make-over.
Me and Joybird (https://www.deviantart.com/joybird), when I was co-founder, made up this fancy new journal skin and this is what the new 'look' is going to be based upon. Using
Happy christmas everyone!
I want to wish you all a happy christmas (or whatever else you may or may not be celebrating this time of year). The group have been pretty inactive lately, its been a busy autumn for both be and the admins. I had hoped the bi montly shows would be more of a hit with you guys, but apperently not. As there have only been a few entrants in the previous shows, and it doesnt look like it will be many more in the "december-january show", I think this will be the last one. Perhaps you guys will be more interested in one bigger event, instead of several small?
For the update, I am now in the proccess of updating the "previous sanctioned shows" jour
Dressage League official show:
Rules
Art must be made by you.
If your horse is registered in Dressage League, enter the class that fits your horse’s level. If not, you can choose freely.
There are no extensions, if you missed this show, you can enter the next.
Don’t make drama with the admins, judged or fellow participants, and don’t ask for special treatment/rule bending.
If your horse is registered in the group, they will get 1 extra point (p) for their entry. (Additional for the 5p you get for the show being sanctioned)
This is a one-entry event, extra drawings and stories are lovely to see, but won’t give you any extra chance of winning.

Oooh! This looks awesome! I've been looking for some training things since I'm (hopefully) getting a new horse to join this group with. Thank you for posting!
